Definitions

“You or Your” means the person whose order for the Goods is accepted by us.
“Contract” means the Contract between the Buyer and the Company.
“Goods” means Cylinder Gas and/or Appliances.
“Working day” means any day excluding; Saturday, Sunday or a Public Holiday.
General
We are registered in England and shall be governed by the English Law and shall submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the English Courts in respect of any dispute, suit or proceedings.
Acceptance of Terms
By accessing the content of https://socal.co.uk/ (‘the Website’) you agree to be bound by the terms and conditions set out herein and accept our privacy policy. If you object to any of the terms and conditions set out in this agreement you should not use any of the products or services on the website and leave immediately. You agree that you shall not use the website for illegal purposes and will respect all applicable laws and regulations. You agree not to use the website in a way that may impair the performance, corrupt the content or otherwise reduce the overall functionality of the website. You also agree not to compromise the security of the website or attempt to gain access to secured areas or sensitive information. You agree to be fully responsible for any claim, expense, liability, losses, costs including legal fees incurred by us arising from any infringement of the terms and conditions set out in this agreement.
Ownership
We shall retain ownership of all goods until full payment is received. The goods shall be at your risk immediately on receipt of the delivery.
Delivery
Our goal is to deliver your order to you as quickly and efficiently as possible. The vast majority of them are delivered within 5 clear working days from the receipt of the order, some maybe next day. Where ever possible, we aim to dispatch your order either the same or following working day, but delivery can take 2-3 days. If for some reason we can’t meet our goal and delivery is expected to be longer than 5 clear working days, we will phone you or email you with an expected delivery date. We may contact you to confirm delivery of high value or fragile items. Delivery times to addresses outside the UK will be longer. Most orders from the EU will be delivered within 15 working days. We dispatch most orders using Amazon Shipping or DPD, however larger or fragile items are normally dispatched with Acclaim Logistics. Where possible, hazardous items are dispatched using our own vehicles. Where ever possible, we will email you tracking information on the day of dispatch. We may decline to deliver if: We believe that it would be unsafe, unlawful or unreasonably difficult to do so; or the premises (or the access to them) are unsuitable for our vehicles. If you need to contact us about a delivery, please have your order ID or invoice number to hand.
Guarantee
We offer a full 12 months guarantee on all products, which is supplemented in some cases by a longer manufacturers guarantee.
Complaints Handling Procedure
All comments will be treated in the strictest of confidence in line with our published privacy policy. Queries will receive a response within 48 hours. The response will include an estimate on date and action required to resolve the query.
Pricing Policy
All prices displayed or quoted are Retail Prices and are inclusive of VAT at the appropriate rate, unless otherwise stated. All prices are an “invitation to treat”. We are committed to giving you the best value through great products, at great prices, supported by great service and technical expertise. Our online prices are the same as in showroom for new boxed items, however used, ex display, or soiled items may be offered at discounted prices in our showroom. We do not offer a price matching scheme, however if you see exactly the same item in stock, being offered by another local retailer, we will do our upmost to offer the same or reduced price. We will not price match an online only retailer. This also excludes Gas & sale items.
Returns Policy
Instore Sales: We will happily refund the price of all goods (excluding: sale items, special orders or custom or tailor made goods) within 14 days with proof of purchase. After 14 days the goods can be exchanged for other goods of an equivalent value or for a credit note to be used at a later date. We reserve the right to deduct a restocking charge. Cost of carriage in returning goods is not refundable.
Online & Mail Order Sales: In line with the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2014 , you are allowed to return an item if you change your mind. You have the right to cancel at any time during the sales process from the moment you place your online order up to 14 days from the day you receive the goods. You then have 14 days to return the goods to obtain the refund.
Faulty Items: If the item is faulty, under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, you have the right to a full refund if the goods are of unsatisfactory quality, unfit for purpose or not as described. This right is limited to 30 days from day you received the goods. If the item is to be returned we will arrange for the collection of the goods.
Voucher Codes
Each voucher / promotional code can only be used once per customer and not in conjunction with any other discounts or codes. Gas products are excluded from all offers. Some special offers / multibuy’s will allow a discount code to be used at the same time – see product for details.
Termination
We may end this contract by notice to you in writing (such notice to have immediate effect), without affecting any other rights:
• Except in the case of a genuine dispute, where you have failed to pay any amount which you owe us under this contract; or
• You commit any material breach of the terms and conditions of this contract
• You become insolvent
You may also cancel the contract as allowed under the Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000. If you exercise that right, you will receive a full refund subject to a deduction of any direct cost of returning the goods.
Changes to our site
Socal may, from time to time change the content of these Terms and Conditions. Socal reserves the right to change any part of this agreement without notice and your use of the website will be deemed as acceptance of this agreement. We advise users to regularly check the Terms and Conditions of the website. Please note, the content on our site may be out of date at any given time, and we are under no obligation to update it. We do not guarantee that our site will be free from errors.
Accessing our site
Our website is made available to our customers free of charge. Socal has complete discretion to modify or remove any part of this site without warning or liability arising from such action. You are responsible for ensuring that any person(s) accessing our website through your internet connection are aware of the Terms and Conditions set out on this page, and that they comply with them.
Limitation of Liability
Socal will under no circumstance be liable for indirect, special, or consequential damages including any loss of business, revenue, profits, or data in relation to your use of the website. Nothing within this Agreement will operate to exclude any liability for death or personal injury arising as result of the negligence of Socal, its employees or agents.
Copyright
All intellectual property of Socal such as trademarks, trade names, patents, registered designs and any other automatic intellectual property rights derived from the aesthetics or functionality of the website remain the property of Socal. By using the website you agree to respect the intellectual property rights of Socal and will refrain from copying, downloading, transmitting, reproducing, printing, or exploiting for commercial purpose any material contained within the Website. If you print off, copy or download any part of our site in breach of these terms of use, your right to use our site will cease immediately and you must, at our option, return or destroy any copies of the materials you have made.

We do not control such websites and we take no responsibility for, and will not incur any liability in respect of, their content.
